She completed her residency in pediatrics at Woodhull Hospital and SUNY College of Optometry, where she has stayed on as Assistant Clinical Professor since 2013. She has been involved in research with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and has given professional lectures on pediatric eye care.
Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry, earning several accolades including The COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy, two Letters of Clinical Excellence, and a Certificate of Commendation for the highest boards score in her class of 107. She completed her internship at San Diego’s Balboa Naval Hospital and at a renowned private practice in Houston, TX where she gained valuable experience in pediatrics and vision therapy.
In her spare time, Dr. Chen loves to cook, eat, and travel with her husband and kids.

Dr. Mahmood completed her undergraduate training at the New York University and doctorate training at the State University of New York for Optometry. She completed thorough contact lens and refractive training. Further, she has completed extensive training in medical private practice and hospital settings in Glaucoma, Retinal Pathology, and chronic Dry Eye Disease
In her free time, Dr. Mahmood loves to take care of animals and works with several rescue agencies, or spends time to practicing to become a Disney princess.

Dr. Chen received her doctorate training from the State University of New York for Optometry. She received extensive training in fitting glasses and contact lenses and has worked alongside cornea, retina, and glaucoma specialists.
Dr. Chen is passionate about educating people about their ocular health and providing quality eye care for all of her patients.
